A fun movie to watch which is actually based on real life, is Catch Me If You Can (2002). It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the audacious Frank Abagnale who successfully scams and cons millions of dollars posing as a Pan American World Airways pilot, a doctor and an attorney, all before his 19th birthday. Pan American Airlines state that Frank Abagnale flew over one million miles on over 250 flights and flew to around 26 countries at Pan Am’s expense. He managed to do this by deadheading: acting as flight staff, flying free of charge but not actually working. He was even invited by the real pilots to take the controls in-flight but, thankfully, he didn’t accept their invitation. He made up different excuses. He not only got to fly for free but billed his food and lodgings to the airline also.
